At first glance, the cards just look downright freaky. All jet black with just a little bit of pure white showing on the cards. I've never seen the Queen of Hearts look so possessed and freaky!! I fanned them out, and to my surprise, they fanned just as good as a new Bicycle Deck. I had read from a previous post that the cards were sticky, but these were the air cushion finish I was used to! I performed a double lift, and it was flawless. A riffle pass, BAM, it was perfect! I was just getting started.

I performed a shapeshifter and in broad daylight, it looked like an instantaneous switch. Very good looking. The face-up riffle pass is just beautiful as the face up card travels from the middle of the deck to the top. It's an eerie looking effect since there is not a whole lot of change in the color like there is with a blue or red deck. Then, I decided to close myself in my room, shut the blinds, light some candles for some dim light and that's when I realized the true power of the black deck.

Guys, this deck is not just for your everyday routines. The blue and red decks, I believe, should still be used in many routines and tricks. If you're going to throw comedy in with your routine, I feel you should stick with the red and blue decks. These cards will absolutely freak people out in a dim lit setting. It depicts a horror story setting, and if you guys have any routines and patter that have to do with flames, burnt images, the dead...my GOD these things are going to be great. I'm working on a Black Deck routine, as I'm sure many of you are, and hope to soon post it on the forums.

Sorry to ramble on so much, but these decks are a threat to be reckoned with! A card manipulator's dream, and a scary feel to them to boot! Get them now while you can! You never know when they will cease to exist...

Oh, man, these are some beautiful things. Brad was right; it's a bit freaky at first handling some frickin' BLACK cards. But I went out on the street this morning - and, it's certainly been said that standing around just doing flourishes will definitely attract attention - but you have no idea what kind of attention you can attract doing so, until you've stood around flourishing with a deck of Black Tigers. Once someone walking by does that ever-so-imminent double take at the cards in your hand, a simple "Wanna see some magic?" is all it takes to reel in that catch. Awesome. Just awesome.

As you can tell, I have nothing but praise for these cards - sure, you can say that they're just a "novelty item", or "They're just negative image cards, big deal!" - but come on, NOBODY's seen these before. If you're one of those that's JUST shy enough to NOT walk up to someone and ask them to see some magic, let these cards do the talking for you. They're honestly THAT much of an attention getter. In retrospect, I'm just sad I only had enough money for now to purchase 3 packs. I'll definitely be investing in more of these puppies.
