Fruit Salad by El Duco

EFFECT: Five paper bags are on the table, each numbered from 1 to 5. The magician announces that hidden in one of the bags is a surprise. He invites four spectators to take part in a prize winning game and displays five jumbo cards also numbered 1 to 5. The cards are mixed face down and placed in a transparent plastic bag. Each of the spectators now selects one card from the bag, leaving the last one for the magician. Each spectator stands behind their selected bag and is told to smash it flat with their hands! When the participants crush their bags one by one, each finds a piece of fruit inside-an apple, orange, lemon, etc. So much for a dramatic effect...

But, there is one bag left on the table, the magician slowly raises his arm and begins to smash the ba, when he stops just above it declaring, "I don't like to get blood on the stage." Lifting up the bag a sharp knife with the blade pointing up is seen by all!
