At the time I am writing this, I am 38 years old and my sense of humor is probably that of a 12 year old. Fart's are funny to me, perhaps that is why I started the website PrankPlace.com back in 2001. The Le' Tooter as we named our version, is really a simple yet genius invention, that dates back to the early 1900's. Its a compressible rubber cylinder with a beveled plastic top with a hole in the center, when you apply the proper pressure with the palm of your hand and squeeze, it makes a realist fart sound. The cool thing is, that you can practice and change your hand position, and pressure to create an assortment of different fart sounds. The flatulence sounds from the Le Tooter sound more realistic than those created with electronic fart machines.
Everyone knows the infamous Whoopee Cushion which dates back to the 1930's. Did you know that a version of the Le' Tooter dates to the early 1900's. I found it in a Chicago novelty catalog published in 1905. We used to buy a version in the early 2000's called the Le' Farter. Leslie Nielsen made the Le Tooter famous when he used to appear on Johnny Carson with one in his hand.
When the Le Farter was no longer available, I considered making our own version, but instead I was focusing on more electronic farting things, like my Fart Bank, or the Disgusting Sounds Machine. Over the next few years, I saw various people make examples of the original Farter with names like Pocket Pooper, (A comedian named Jack Vale made one called The Pooter, Jack makes hysterical YouTube Video's while using his Pooter in public). Some of the versions I looked at were good (including Jack's) but for various reasons including pricing, or issues with stock and availability, and or quality, we set out to make our own. So in the Summer of 2009, we came out with the Le Tooter! I thought it would be funny to put a French name to it to be ironic, as in French people are too classy to fart. (Remember Kids, Everybody farts, including President Obama and Queen Elizabeth) The package artwork is really funny, it is by Creative Jay.
Just to be even more outrageous, we decided to make a pink one and call it the La Queefer! (Not familiar with a Queef?)
