I got this trick because I've read Dear Mr. Fantasy, and I've performed Twisted Sisters, and basically I wanted to get everything Mr Bannon has produced.
The performer produces two predictions, and gives them to two audience members face down. He then shuffles the deck and starts dealing cards down face up and asks for a stop. He places the card on the first prediction. He then turns the deck over and mentions that in order to avoid the suspicion that he is using sleight of hand, the cards are marked with values on the back (I.e. 3D, 8H, etc). He then starts dealing the cards face down and asks for a stop. He then places the card on the second prediction.
He turns the predictions over and sure enough, the predictions are wrong, not even close. He stalls, and tries to save the situation. He then remembers that the cards are actually marked incorrectly. He shows that the cards are actually marked with values that differ from the faces of the cards. (e.g. 3D is marked 8C).
He then flips over the randomly selected cards to show that they actually do indeed match the predictions.
When I got the trick, I wasn't too impressed at first. I wasn't sure if an audience would buy it. It is so incredibly easy to perform, I wasn't sure how strong the effect would be. I decided to try it out anyway. After peforming it several times in the past few days, I have to say, I was surprised by the responses I got in performing this trick. I think it's kind of like Twisted Sisters - it has a huge amount of magic with minimal work.
Reset is pretty easy. I actually reset the trick in plain sight right in front of the audience I performed it for today.
I'm a beginner, yet after I got the trick, I was performing it in like five minutes. It's that easy. There's no sleight of hand required at all.
The reactions I've been getting have been quite strong.
The same two cards are revealed every time you do the trick. This is the part I was concerned about at first. Practically it didn't seem to matter. If you follow the rule to not perform the same trick twice for the same audience, there shouldn't be a problem here.
Also, the deck obviously cannot be examined.
My overall rating, for what it's worth is 8.5/10.
This is my first review by the way. I hope you all like it.
