I bought this power over a month ago along with Shadow Masters (by the way, they're awesome cards!!!). I wasn't exactly sure what kind of texture the powder would provide for the cards once it was applied, but I was pleasantly surprised either way.
This is the first brand of fanning powder I've purchased so I cannot compare it with the Murphy's brand, but I'm very happy with my purchase.
I don't think the description does justice: The powder makes the cards slightly sticker so that they are essentially "broken in" instantly. For the XCMers, this is a must because it makes the handling very consistent whether it's for new or old cards. With a plain deck of cards (new or old) it is difficult to do fancy flourishes involving multiple packets being cut around the finger tips for one reason: the individual packets don't stay together and cards slip away within the packets (I don't know if that makes sense to other people, but you XCMers should know what I'm talking about). This powder solves the problem it will be very noticeable once you treat your cards with the powder.
Another great thing about the powder is that the stickiness it provides is great for routines involving DL's and double-cards-as-one effects because the cards stay together without knuckle busting finess. This is great for invisible palm routines and you can handle the doubles like single cards without worrying about them coming apart)
Do the math: for the price of two decks of cards, your efficiency in card handling increases at least twofold... plus you have enough powder to treat a couple of dozen decks. It's an investment for card workers, especially XCMers.
