Mini Zombie Ball
Method - 9/10
Creative. I don't have the original zombie ball but I am almost sure it is the same method (gimmick) Yes it's gimmicked. You could hand out the ball for examination, but I don't reccommend it because it gives ideas to the spectators on how the effects could be done. For such a amazing levitation, it's great. Takes practice to place the gimmick unseen, but won't take too long to get right. One of my favorite levitations.
Gimmick - 10/10
This gimmick had me a bit worried at first, but just takes confidence (which means practice!) I believe it will last forever as long as you don't due extremely abussive things to it.
Props - 8/10
Comes with a mini zombie ball which is the same as the balls used in the Vernet multiplying Balls. It's chrome and extremely sensitive to light so it's great for close-up and stage due to it's strong reflection of light. Unfortunately it looks like it could break if dropped, and will look horribble when scratched. Then again all the scratces may make it look more haunted and scary.
It was also VERY misleading by saying Mini Zombie Ball. No where does it say DOES NOT INCLUDE SILK. It doesn't but it's not expensive to get a pocket handkerchief.
The reason for an 8 out of ten was one point for the fragile ball, and one point for not including the silk.
Instructions + Routine - 7/10
There is no routine included. Just 3 moves you can you use in a routine. They're all moves I could've figured out without any help. The instructions are pretty easy to follow. Just one part is a bit un-explained clearly. Still good instructions. The instructions also give you a great idea for table hoppers. You can use the gimmick, and the zombie ball effect using a bread roll and a napkin. I thought that was great. Gave it an extra poin for that.
Difficulty - 6/10
Takes practice, but not much. Easy to get a hang of, just ptactice in front of a mirror. Getting the ball on to the gimmick can sometimes cause suspicion if you don't get it right the first time. Other than that, piece of cake.
Angles - 6/10
The angles aren't bad at all for close-up. Can't really be done on street because everyone must be in front of you. No one may be behind or next to you. Angles are in front of you.
Overall - 9/10
Great effect and I highly reccommend it. I love it and it's really affordable for those that can't affor the full size Classic. I am very happy with my purchase.
