Borrow a bill from a spectator, hand her you magic marker and ask her to sign the bill for later identification. Put the bill in an envelope and take a cigarette box out of your pocket. Let the spectator choose a cigarette from the box, and write her initials on the cigarette. Drop the cigarette into the envelope, seal the envelope, and set it ablaze. The envelope, signed bill and cigarette inside burn to ashes. Take the magic marker used previously by the spectator, remove the lid, and show that the singed cigarette has mysteriously appeared inside! Break the cigarette in half and show there is a bill rolled up inside. The spectator herself removes the bill and discovers that it is her signed bill!
