From an idea by Sid Lorraine. A strip of paper is shown together with a pair of scissors. A card is selected and replaced (say it is the 4D). The paper is folded in half and then again in half and again in half, so you have a small pleated bundle of paper. Now you take up the scissors and cut right through the folds; the spectators can see the cut folds fluttering to the floor. Another cut is made. A magic pass, and immediately you can open up the piece of paper and show it restored, with four diamonds cut-out in the middle of the strip revealing the selected card. Your hands are empty, before and after the trick. No extra strips, no adhesive or complicated preparation of the paper; just one single strip of paper is used. Comes complete with illustrated routine and sample paper.
