Effect: the performer takes out his wallet which contains two small manilla envelopes. One envelope is a prediction which the spectator can hold onto.
Inside the other envelope is a torn page from a book, and that page is further torn into smaller pieces. Each little torn piece has random mixed words.
The magician instructs the spectator to take all the ripped pieces, mix them up behind their back, and when satisfied, the magician asks the spectator to hold onto one piece in their hand. The rest of the pieces are placed back on the table in full view.
The magician instructs the spectator to put their freely chosen piece back into the envelope and place it onto the table.
Now for the good part: let’s see what the spectator picked. The torn piece is taken out of the envelope, and the spectator reads it out loud:
"Beyond the screen door
The spectator is now asked to open the prediction envelope which they've been holding since the beginning. It reads: "200 - Behind the screen door."
TIP: This effect will require you to own "something" that most magician's already have. Hint: the name is in this disclaimer! After purchase, if you find that you don't have one, we sell them for less than $3.00 which you can add to your next order.
