Tic Tac Toe Lite (Large) by Bond Lee and Kai-Fu Wang

Tic Tac Toe Lite based on the creative ideas of Kai-Fu Wang, Bond Lee has taken the magic to another level.

Tic-Tac-Toe is a classic paper and pencil game between two players, now we have turned it into an interactive game between the magician and the audience. Each player takes a turn placing Xs and Os on a 3 by 3 grid. After completing the game, the magician reveals a surprise ending!

After Tic Tac Toe receiving great reviews from the magic community, we have decided to make this fantastic routine more portable and easier to use.

This lite version comes in 3 sizes, satisfying most close-up and parlor performance situations. Two designs are provided, and you can freely customize your own design.

The perfect magic for everyone!

Customer Questions:

  • Q. Dimensions of all 3 sizes
  • A. Large: 9.2" x 9.1" x 1.3"
    Medium: 7.0" x 7.0" x 1.0"
    Small: 4.5" x 4.5" x 1.2"

  • Q. I see in the video not only is there a picture of the Mona Lisa I saw it also a card thing like the A of heart. The question would be you could do both of them and or you could create your own picture? I guess the question is, you could also do a card trick and that would be the prediction of the card behind The tic-tac-toe board ?
  • A. It looks like these come with both the Mona Lisa photo and the 7 of Hearts, so you would choose which version you want to set it up with. Personally, we like the Mona Lisa presentation.

  • Q. Does the spectator place the first x or o?
Or does the magician place the first x or 0?
Can the arrangement of x's and o's be different each time? I.e. can this be repeated?
  • A. The magician will control the O, and he will go first. The spectator will control the X and they will have free choices on where they want it placed.

We don't want to expose the method, but depending on the spectator's FREE choice, you will then decide on your next move. The outcome will always be determined and end up the same.

The video instructions cover all the possibilities that the spectator can choose, and how to respond next with your own corresponding move.

You could definitely repeat the effect, but the downside is that the spectator will now know what the surprise ending will be (the photo on the back).....but you could repeat it if you want. You just will need to stack the X's and O's back appropriately to begin the effect.

  • Q. Can the reveal on the back be customized--e.g. a client logo?

How involved is it to changed the customized image?
  • A. Yes, it is possible but it would require some DIY on your part. Essentially, you would have to print a photo of whatever you want to reveal (a logo, a picture, etc) and then stick it to the pieces. The instructions will show you how this can be customized to do it. They recommend you print it onto a sticker paper of the same size needed, or else you can use double stick tape.
