  • Q. Can it work without a phone?

    Can you make adjustments without a phone?
  • A. You do not need the phone to perform the effect, because the gimmick itself can be activated with a button and a remote.

    However, you need a Wifi network in order to configure and adjust the Ultimate Smoke Watch settings. You do this by navigating to an IP address in order to adjust things like the time delay, the smoke settings, etc.

    It's easiest to do this with a phone by pairing it with the Ultimate Smoke Watch. However, I don't see why you couldn't also do this from a laptop or other device that can connect to wifi networks. It's just easier with the phone because you can literally do it anywhere (in your car, outside, etc). As long as your phone and device and by each other, they can pair up and you can adjust the settings to however you want.

    After you have the settings the way you want, you don't need to do that step again. It's only to configure the device and change the settings.
